Astrologer Disclosure
I (Melissa E. Crim) am a professional astrologer and business owner of CELESTIAL ROOTS ASTROLOGY. In my separate business, I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in TN, KY, CO, OH, FL, ME, ID, and LA. The services provided through CELESTIAL ROOTS ASTROLOGY are astrological consultations for self-reflection, personal insight, and guidance. These services are not a substitute for psychotherapy, counseling, medical treatment, or any other licensed professional service. I do not practice these services under my state licensure.
Nature of Astrological Services
Astrology is a symbolic and interpretive system that explores archetypal patterns, planetary cycles, and personal themes based on your natal chart and current transits. The insights offered are meant to foster self-awareness, encourage exploration, and provide perspective, but they do not determine fixed outcomes. Astrology is not a predictive science, and all decisions remain solely the responsibility of the client. It is a platform from which to explore greater spiritual and cosmic questions as well as a potential deep dive into one's own unique make-up.
Limitations of Astrological Readings
Astrological readings do not diagnose or treat psychological, medical, or psychiatric conditions.
Readings are not a replacement for therapy, medical care, legal, or financial advice.
No guarantees are made regarding specific outcomes or future events.
Any actions you take based on an astrological consultation are your personal responsibility.
Therapist vs. Astrologer: Understanding the Distinction
I am not operating in my role as a therapist. Astrological readings differ from therapy in the following ways:
Astrology is a symbolic and archetypal tool, not an evidence-based therapeutic intervention.
The focus is on self-exploration, not clinical assessment, diagnosis, or treatment planning.
Sessions are not confidential in the same way that therapy is legally protected (e.g., HIPAA regulations do not apply to astrology readings).
Confidentiality & Ethics
While astrology sessions are private, they do not fall under the same legal confidentiality protections as psychotherapy. Your personal information will not be shared, sold, or disclosed without your consent, except as required by law.

Acknowledgment & Consent
I acknowledge that I have read, understood, and agree to the terms outlined above. I understand that an astrological reading is for personal insight and is NOT a therapeutic or medical service. I take full responsibility for my choices and actions following this session. I acknowledge the distinction between an astrologer and a therapist and agree that this consultation does NOT establish a therapist-client relationship.
Session Format
Sessions are available in person in Nashville, Tennessee, or online by video. Please let me know your preference when you book.
Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy
I hold your session time just for you, and I prepare your chart in advance. Because of that, I ask for at least 48 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule.
With 48 hours' notice or more: you may reschedule at no charge or receive a full refund.
With less than 48 hours' notice: you may reschedule once for 50% of the session fee, or the session fee is nonrefundable.
Missed sessions: if you don't attend and haven't contacted me, the full fee is forfeited.
