My Approach to Astrology and Consultation

I came to astrology through the earth. My time among the Redwoods gave me my elemental language and widened my awareness from the forest floor to the cosmos. Redwoods stand because their roots reach out and hold on to each other. The planets do the same, each one influencing and holding the others in place. The forces that shape our world here are mirrored in the sky, and the sky is mirrored in us.
Astrology is inseparable from the natural world. Earth, water, fire, air, and spirit are its foundation, describing how we move in relation to ourselves, other beings, and the world. I believe every planet and every sign lives within each of us.
Drawing on Internal Family Systems (IFS), I hear the planets and signs as parts of us, each with its own voice, personality, and job to do. Some are protectors, working hard to keep us safe. Some are exiles, carrying old pain we learned to hide. Beneath them all is Self. Ti is the steady, compassionate center every part can come home to. Like the planets in a chart, our parts are always in relationship, and how they relate shapes how much of Self shines through. These parts aren't only personal, they carry family, community, and ancestral patterns too, the ones we inherit and the ones we pass forward.
Growing up in a rigid, prescriptive religious organization showed me firsthand the harm strict ideology can do. I practice astrology grounded in fundamental principles, never fundamentalism. I don't offer absolute truths, fixed fates, or fear-based predictions. There's no single correct astrology, no one right way to read a chart, and no good or bad placement. Different astrologers may read the same chart differently, and I see that diversity as part of its richness.
I am trained in Western astrology and begin with whole sign houses as my foundation. I'm committed to working within the bounds of my education and training, and I'll only offer services that truly serve the person in front of me. If something you're seeking falls outside what I do well, I'll tell you honestly and, when I can, point you toward someone who can help.
Although I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor, my astrology consultations are not counseling, therapy, or mental health treatment of any kind, and they aren't a substitute for care from a licensed professional. If you're looking for therapeutic support, I'm glad to help you find a referral.
Your chart is both a guide and a mirror. It isn't a static blueprint. It's a living system that points toward possibility and reflects back what's already true. My consultations are collaborative, as I'm not here to tell you what your chart means, but to walk alongside you as you discover it, bringing your curiosity and your own lived experience into the conversation.
