I'm Melissa Crim. Before I was an astrologer, I was a therapist, and I still am. I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor in Tennessee and seven other states, and a Certified Clinical Ecotherapist. For 25 years I've sat with people through trauma, loss, and big transformation, and again and again I've watched the soul know things before the mind can explain them. When astrology came into my life, it offered a mirror that didn't diagnose; it recognized. Coming to astrology wasn't a detour for me. It was a return.
I see myself in my birth chart. Leo Sun, Taurus Moon, Cancer Rising. Creative fire, ancestral grounding, and intuitive care are the triad at the root of everything I offer through Celestial Roots Astrology.
My Mercury sits right on top of Pluto in
Virgo, which makes me something of an
underworld translator. I notice what others
miss, and I read your chart slowly, closely,
with care. My North Node in Pisces keeps
asking me to trust intuition over perfection.
And my Lilith in Leo, fused with my sun,
is the part of me that refuses to be
silenced or to disappear.
How I Work
My approach blends myth, psychology, nature, ancestry, and the body. It often lands with people healing from religious trauma, reclaiming their voice, or welcoming home parts of themselves they were told to hide.

Beyond the Chart
I live in historic East Nashville, where the sidewalks are uneven and full of stories, with my partner, my teenage son, and our animals: Lola Winifred Pants the chihuahua, Hope the Doberman, and Van (Halen) the bearded dragon.
I was born in Texas and rooted in Tennessee, a child of the South who knows its dark history. My Acadian ancestors live in me too; their exile and their songs still echo in my bones. I believe ancestry is medicine, and that healing moves forward and backward through time.
I paddleboard under full moons. I hike old trails. I cry at cemeteries and dance in grocery stores. I love ruins, fossils, feathers, mossy graveyards, initials carved into forgotten trees, and cedar after rain. Give me anything old, anything humming just under the surface, and I'm home. I believe in the defiance of dandelions and the radical act of rest. And
my heart lives in the Redwoods, who don't root deep. They root together. That's how the sky works, too.
